Steven is currently working as a mobile developer at IceMobile. He graduated in October 2010 as a Master of Science in Artificial Intelligence at the University of Amsterdam.
His interest in programming started in high school with the automation of simple mathematical problems by programming on a calculator and writing simple games in Java. He developed some C programming skills when participating in the Dutch National Olympiad in Informatics of 2005. Here he finished in second place, which earned him a place in the International Olympiad in Informatics held in Poland.
When being asked by his mother to write a website for her choir, Steven decided to take up website development as a hobby. Not long after finishing his first website he was approached to work on two more websites. One thing led to another and he ended up taking a parttime job as a web developer at FastLions.
Starting in 2010 he begin programming for the iPhone and iPad. He released a small application to Apple's App Store, as a project for a course in his master Artificial Intelligence. The release of this application got noticed by IceMobile and he got asked to come and work as an iPhone developer. He has started working at IceMobile since November 2010.
Next to programming and work, Steven likes to spend time with his girlfriend Michelle, listen to music, play video games and watch movies or TV shows.
